It really was a fantastic year for Ultimate, and the good thing is 2008 is going to be even better, with the usual leagues and tournaments scheduled. Its also a World Championship year.
Have a wonderful Christmas and prosperous New Year, and we’ll see you all on the fields and ready to play on Monday the 7th of January 2008.

CTU hosted a 5-a-side hat tournament last weekend at Wynberg Sports Ground with great success. Six teams of 7 players were formed randomly on the morning, with different skill levels being divided evenly across the teams.
The Funky Hat tournament theme quickly established a fun atmosphere and friendly banter with some awesome headgear on display. The games were run for 30 minutes in a round robin format that had each team play each other once. After five games completed by early afternoon, everyone was clearly ready for a cool beverage and after sun lotion thanks to the perfect weather. A lot of new faces were seen on the field and kudo’s to the first-time players for coming along and also to the familiar faces who encouraged them.
Many thanks to Butlers Pizza who kindly sponsored R500 worth of vouchers for the prizes.
